A Nigerian groom has surprised his bride with a wedding present far above anything she could have possibly imagined.

The groom presented her with a permanent resident card for Canada when they were having their wedding reception.

When he handed her the card, she was over the moon and all she could do was laugh uncontrollably as she looked at it.

The man got down on one knee to offer his wife the big surprise. Following the emotional presentation, the couple embraced before thanking their parents.

In other news, a Nigerian groom has set tongues wagging on the internet over his nonchalant attitude during his recent wedding ceremony.

The groom was caught on camera pressing his phone during the wedding reception while completely ignoring his bride and the MC.

In the trending clip, the MC asked the bride to cut off a piece of cake and serve it to her husband as she would do in their house.

The MC also told the groom to spread his legs so the bride could kneel in between them while she served him.

However, the groom paid no attention to the host of the event and continued to press his phone in the presence of his bride and their wedding guests.
