A woman was recently attacked in a polling unit in Lagos State for voting for the presidential candidate of the Labor Party, Peter Obi.
The incident is believed to have taken place on February 25th at 30 Ishadare Street, off Fafolu Street, Onipanu, Lagos State.
According to reports, political thugs follow people to the voting area to ensure that they vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC), presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, and anyone who casts his or her vote for a party other than the APC was allegedly chased away.
A video making the rounds on social media shows the moment when a woman was attacked for casting her vote for the Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Fortunately, she managed to run away before the political thugs could cause any major damage, while other voters were upset and watched the attack.
Some APC political thugs were also captured wielding sticks that they seemingly plan to use to harm non-compliant voters in the video.
The person who filmed the incident wrote,
“Them don almost me stab me because of Obi. This shit ain’t fair where I am. They beat up a woman because she voted for Obi.”
