“Why I Grew Up Hating My Mum” – Actress, Dorcas Shola-Fapson (Video)

Popular Nollywood actress, entrepreneur, and disc jockey, Dorcas Shola-Fapson, has explained why she grew up hating her mother.
Dorcas recently shared this in an interview on the “Tea with Taymesan” podcast. She said her parents moved to the UK after their wedding but did not have the required immigration papers.
She said that her mother was deported to Nigeria when she was two years old because she did not have immigration papers, but her father managed to sort himself out.
Dorcas Shola-Fapson explained the reason for her short-lived hatred for her mother, revealing that her father claimed her mother abandoned her in the UK because she does not love her.
According to the disc jockey, this made her grow up hating her mother because she believed her mother never loved her. However, she said that now that she is older, she has a better understanding of her family’s predicament.
When asked why her father lied about why her mother abandoned them in the UK, Dorcas replied that it was because “he was hurt”.
