EPL: Wenger Sends Solid Admonition To Arsenal Winger, Pepe

Previous Arsenal supervisor, Arsene Wenger, has cautioned Nicolas Pepe that he should battle for his place in the group, if his structure doesn’t improve.

Pepe joined from Lille for a club-record charge of £72million in the mid year move window.

The Ivorian has been condemned for a languid beginning to his Gunners vocation, scoring once in 10 appearances in all rivalries.

The 24-year-old has just finished an hour and a half in a Premier League coordinate on four events.

With youths, for example, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli having dazzled in assaulting jobs this season, Wenger trusts Pepe could begin to go under weight for a spot in Unai Emery’s firing line-up.

“I like the player and I thought it was a decent choice [to sign him].

“He’s not yet totally adjusted and you need to give him some time. He looks a tad to play not with the opportunity he did in France right now.

“I see a few qualities of his game, particularly off the ball, that don’t occur right now. Then again, I should state we have great youthful players who can play on the flanks, [and] that he will have a battle to keep his position,” Wenger told Omnisport.
