Mercy Aigbe: “If One Leaves A Failed Marriage, Make E No Marry Again?” – Actress, Shan George Queries Critics

Following the heavy criticism that has been trailing the marriage of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe to filmmaker, Kazim Adeoti, her colleague, Shan George has questioned the critics.

Shan George has used this medium to respond to people who have berated her for advocating for women who have left failed marriages and found new love by asking how much they had sent to her when they weren’t disappointed in her.

The actress questioned trolls who accuse people of leaving unhappy marriages and finding love elsewhere by asking if someone leaves a failed marriage, can’t they fall in love and get married again?

She noted in the post which social media users perceived to be in support of Mercy Aigbe, that the same people who suggest one should leave a failing marriage are the same people who will also criticize the person if he or she eventually finds love again.

She wrote on her IG stories,

One minute they r saying ‘Abeg if a marriage is not working, leave. Same pple will still curse on d next person a man/woman decides to date/marry after leaving d marriage that’s not working. Shey if one leaves a shitty marriage, make e no marry again or what?

This comes after controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu had advised his colleague and good friend, Mercy Aigbe, to hold on to her husband and be less concerned with what others think of their relationship.
