A viral video captured the rather dramatic moment a woman turned down her boyfriend’s marriage proposal in church.
In the viral clip, the woman, who had just entered a new age, was seen carrying a birthday cake while being flanked by some church members who had gathered to celebrate her when her boyfriend decided to take the time to ask for her hand in marriage.
As she feel giddy over her birthday cake, her boyfriend suddenly went on one knee, holding up a ring, and popped the question in the presence of other church members.
However, as the excited onlookers chanted “Say Yes,” the lady, who seemingly was not having it, forced her boyfriend to stand up because he was embarrassing her.
Despite cheers from onlookers and repeated pleas from her boyfriend to accept his proposal, the lady kept saying she had warned him against making a public proposal.
“I told you I don’t want this, what’s the meaning of this? why are you embarrassing me,” she said, hitting him several times before throwing the birthday cake at him.
The video has since gone viral on social media and has received mixed reactions from internet users.
