A video of a heavily pregnant woman at her traditional wedding ceremony has drawn mixed reactions on the internet.
The pregnant bride, who appears ready to give birth at any time, looked stunning in her traditional pose as she danced towards her groom during the ceremony held at Nando Community, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.
In the video, which has gone viral since it was posted on TikTok by @milliechinenye, the bride was captured dancing with her huge baby bump in the presence of her family and in-laws, who came to pay her bride price.
Another portion of the clip showed the bride flanked by her bridesmaids as she performed the activities expected of a bride during her traditional wedding rite.
However, the video sparked a flurry of comments on the video-sharing platform, as social media users argue that the ceremony should have been postponed until bedtime.
Others revealed that in their culture, a groom is not allowed to pay a woman’s bride price while she is heavily pregnant.
