A young woman, Violet Quick, who became pregnant while using birth control, has given birth to a baby boy, who was born with the IUD in his hand.
The 20-year-old from Idaho got married to her husband, John Francis when she was 19 and they had no plans to have a child yet.
However, they were surprised to discover they were expecting just one year into their marriage despite the birth control measure. The lovebirds welcomed their son, Rudy, at the end of January 2023.
In a trending clip that has garnered millions of views online, the new mom shared a video of her newborn baby holding her IUD in his hands shortly after birth.
She revealed that even the nurses were shocked as they all rushed to see her IUD baby.
Violet captioned the viral video, “When all the nurses come in to see a baby with his IUD”.
In a follow-up video, Violet revealed that she decided to take a pregnancy test as a precaution after feeling unwell for two weeks.
She wrote: “So I had my Skyla IUD for nine months before I got pregnant and the reason that I decided to take a test was that I was feeling nauseous for about two weeks and I would just throw up every once in a while.
“I didn’t know what was going on and so I took a test and it was positive right away.”
She also advised other women to get tested if they had symptoms, even if they were taking birth control.
