An alleged text message between popular Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, and his ex-fiancé, Fancy Acholonu, has surfaced online.
Keep in mind that the pair have been embroiled in some chaotic online drama since Fancy Acholonu, who called off their wedding in August 2021, publicly apologized to Alex for the way things ended and said she still loves and misses him.
The apology sparked speculation that the couple had reconciled, but Fancy Acholonu clarified that they weren’t back together and disclosed that Alex Ekubo manipulated her into posting the apology note.
Amid the ongoing drama, an alleged text message between the couple dated August 18, 2021, days after she announced their split, has surfaced online.
In her message, Fancy Acholonu complained about spending too much money on their wedding because Alex wanted a big wedding due to his social status.
She also said she wanted a small, intimate wedding, but Alex insisted on having a loud wedding, instead of using the money to buy a house where they would live after their wedding.
She also spoke about his refusal to be intimate with her for the five years they were together, saying she accepts him for who he is. She also revealed that she “accepts things she never thought she would accept in the name of love and loyalty.”
However, Alex didn’t reply to the lengthy message until she sent a similar message to a group chat the two were in. He then threatened to forget her forever if the message gets out.
