An American woman has gone viral on social media after going out of her way to serve her Nigerian husband his food in a traditional way.
A viral video shows the woman carrying a tray containing a plate of unidentified Nigerian soup and a “swallow dish” to her husband in the living room.
She also knelt to present the food before him and gave him a bowl of water so he could wash his hands before he dug into the food.
The woman, who appeared respectful and humble in the clip, was seen kneeling and lovingly watching her husband eat the delicacy.

The video received mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with some praising Lauren for respecting her husband’s culture, while others felt she was playing for the camera because kneeling down is not customary for Americans.
