Mabel, the wife of popular Nigerian comedian, AY Makun, has appeared to have reacted to Basketmouth after saying he and her husband were never friends.
It’s no secret the comedians have been at odds for years, but the reason behind their beef has been vague.
However, recently, while discussing his 17-year-old beef with Basketmouth in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, AY shared how he attended Basketmouth’s wedding but was denied entry.
According to him, while his wife’s name was on the guest list, his was not, so they had to go back home without attending the wedding.

However, Basketmouth has shared his own side of the story on Nedu’s Honest Bunch podcast, saying AY or his wife, Mabel, were not invited to his wedding.

“Ay is not my friend, I didn’t invite him nor his wife to my wedding, they just came themselves. I only invited my friends…(Watch him speak here)
Just 12 hours after Basketmouth’s interview, Mabel took to her Instagram page to send a message to people, in what appears to be a huge jab at the comedian.
She claimed that some people are aggressive and lack the ability to talk calmly about others because they have not been taught otherwise.
The interior designer wrote:
“I have come to realize that some people pass information in an aggressive manner because they know no other way.”
She added: “Everyone can’t be soft-spoken. Understand this and know peace.”
