Popular Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, has given her take on the recently released Nollywood film “Gangs of Lagos” in which she played a role.
Having previously worked with the producer on the film “Sugar Rush”, which she considered a wonderful experience, she expressed her delight upon getting the screenplay for the film.
However, Bimbo Ademoye found out that she had been cast as Teni, a role she didn’t anticipate after finally reading the script.
Bimbo initially assumed she would play Gift because she could identify with that character so easily. To make sure there were no mistakes, she double-checked the cast members’ names.
She made a few more calls to verify the casting but received reassurances that it was correct.
The producers informed her that while fans would anticipate her in a part similar to Gift, they had chosen to cast her in a different one.
As a result, Ademoye accepted the challenge and did her best in Teni’s character.
