The federal high court in Lagos state has remanded the self-proclaimed relationship expert and blogger, Blessing Okoro, for alleged cyberbullying.
Blessing Okoro, who was arrested by men of the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) on Thursday morning, March 30, has been charged with six counts of alleged cyberbullying, libel, and for exhibiting uncensored movies.
During her arraignment, the prosecution attorney, Rotshang Faith Dimka of the Force Headquarters in Abuja, alleged that Blessing Okoro intentionally sent messages through his Instagram account, @officialblessingceo on October 16, 2022, to intimidate threaten and harass, Folashade Samuels, aka Mamajazz, the younger sister of the late Bimbo Ogbonna, wife of Lagos businessman, Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD.
The Prosecution attorney went on to allege that Blessing used her Instagram account to tarnish the reputations of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by injecting hatred, contempt, and ridicule at them.
According to police, some of the messages allegedly sent by Blessing Okoro include:

The court was told by the police that the defendants had breached Section 24(2)(a)(1) of the Cybercrime (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015, Section 375 of the Criminal Code Act, and Section 33 of the NFVCB Act, 2004. After hearing the indictment, the defendant pleaded not guilty.
The presiding judge, Justice Yelim Bogoro, remanded Blessing CEO in the custody of the Nigerian correctional services, NCoS, until May 30th for a hearing of her bail request.
