Nollywood actor, Dave Ogbeni, has sparked backlash online after calling out his female colleagues in the entertainment industry who are into prostitution.
Dave Ogbeni said in an Instagram post that many of his peers are not in the industry for the craft, but to sell their bodies.
According to him, Nollywood prostitutes should be distinguished from real Nollywood actresses because their numbers are becoming alarming at this stage.
He added that he is tired of his politicians’ friends berating his female colleagues and calling them derogatory names.
“There should be a clear-cut demarcation between Nollywood actresses and Nollywood prostitutes. No be everybody come for the craft, many came for the indirect cash”, he wrote in an Instagram post.
He added, “Just so you know. I’m tired of my politician friends calling my female colleagues names. I’m tired.

His post prompted a flood of comments from social media users, including popular actress and filmmaker, Eve Esin, who confirmed his statement and said it’s really sad.
She wrote, “It’s so sad how some bad eggs in the basket make the entire eggs bad.”
