Nigerian singer and DMW Boss, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has confirmed his cousin, B-red’s story of how they broke into Davido’s house and stole his father’s belongings.
Recall that in a recent interview, B-Red revealed that he and Davido stole 20 Television sets from his house and sold it to further their music careers.
In an interview with ABtalks, Davido shared the same story, saying that he did it because his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke, was unwilling to support his music career financially.
The DMW boss claimed that this happened to him when his music career was just taking off and he had asked to return to Nigeria, but his father turned down the request, so he decided to take matters into his own hands and look for fundraising opportunities.
He said that after selling the television sets, he almost sold his father’s Rolls Royce to raise money for his musical ambitions.
He said;
“So I blew up, remember I said that I told him I wanted to move back, but he disagreed. I ended up dropping out, he found out that I wasn’t in school for like a year.
I broke into his house in Atlanta and sold all the TVs and old his furniture. I almost sold his Rolls Royce, because I was like ‘Yeah I want to do this music’ but he didn’t want me to, so I was like ‘You know what?’ I’m just about that crazy.”
