Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed how he came up with the idea of naming his new album, Timeless.
In an interview about his latest music project, he shared that top music producer, Michael Ajereh aka Don Jazzy, suggested the title he should give his fourth studio album.
The DMW boss clarified that Don Jazzy made the suggestion in his direct message (DM) about a year ago, and he accepted.
Davido said he almost decided on a different album name but ultimately settled on “Timeless” as the Mavin boss had suggested.
In his words;
“Funny enough, Jazzy actually DMed me like a year ago and suggested that I named my album Timeless. In the end, I changed it like two months ago and changed it back.”

A few days ago, Davido spoke publicly about the death of his son, Ifeanyi; his close associate, Obama DMW; and others close to him.
In a recent interview with Beat FM about his new album “Timeless”, Davido spoke about how the loss of his close friends and family has affected him.
The superstar singer, who released the 17-track album on Friday, March 31st, announced that he dedicated a song in the album to his loved ones who passed away.
The song “LCND,” which stands for “Legends Can Never Die,” pays homage to those he has lost, including his late mother and son, because they were all legends.
Remember that the singer’s first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, died from drowning injuries in his Banana Island home in Lagos on October 31st, 2022.
According to Davido, even though they’re all dead and gone, he can still sense their presence around him. He said he doesn’t feel like they have left him.
The singer also claimed that the song is for everyone out there who has lost a close friend or relative to the cold hands of death.
He further explained that “LCND” is the oldest song on the album and was recorded 2 years ago in Los Angeles but is timeless. (Watch an excerpt from the interview here)
