Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido, has revealed that he prays before each of his stage performances.
The DMW boss shared this in a Forbes article covering the latest issue of Forbes’ Afrobeats All-Star; Pioneering The New Global Sound.
The “FEM” singer claimed that his staff is aware of the fact that he always put his performance in the hands of God before gracing the stage and they never disturb his prayer sessions.
Davido claimed that his father, Mr. Adedeji Adeleke, taught him many lessons, particularly about embracing Christianity and living a humble life.
In his words;
“I learned so much from being around my dad, watching him in the office, hearing him on the phone, seeing how he handled life. He’s very humble, principled, and a strong Christian. Before I step on any stage, my team knows not to mess with my prayers.”
A few days ago, David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, took to social media to reveal that his father bribed him to go back to school.
The DMW boss and son of Nigerian business tycoon, Adedeji Adeleke, made the revelation in a recent interview.
According to him, although his father loved education and wanted him to go back to school, he was not interested.
He said he initially dropped out of school and even ran away from home, but was eventually forced to return to complete his studies when his father made him a juicy deal. (Continue reading)
