Nollywood actor, Frederick Leonard, has reacted after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested a cybercriminal who was using his identity to scam people.
The fraudster, identified simply as Kelvin Aisosa Orhue, was arrested and arraigned before the FCT High Court in Kuje after defrauding a lady, Cheryldene Cook, of N104 million using Freddie’s identity.
Orhue, who was brought before Justice Nwechonwu, pleaded guilty to the charge and was later found guilty and sentenced to one year in prison with an option to pay only a fine of N1,000,000 (one million naira).
In response to the arrest through his official Instagram page, Frederick Leonard described women who fall for such a scam as desperate.
The handsome Nollywood actor wondered how people transfer such an amount of money to someone they have never met in person.
“The Face of A CRIMINAL ! Another Frederick Leonard IMPERSONATOR Caught by the EFCC @officialefcc.
