Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner, Georgina Rodriguez, has been criticized for apparently disrespecting the Portuguese footballer’s mother, Dolores Aveiro.
This incident happened during the celebrations of the 13th birthday of the footballer’s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jnr, at his residence in Madrid.
According to reports, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was unable to attend the event due to his national team duties in Iceland.
However, his mother, Dolores Aveiro, attended the event along with her partner, Jose Andrade, but they opted to stay at La Finca, a 5-star hotel in Madrid, rather than with the rest of their family at her son’s house.
After the event, Georgina Rodriguez shared photos from the party on her Instagram page but did not include her partner’s mother in any of them.
However, Dolores Aveiro shared a video of the party on her official Instagram account on June 22.

In response to the video, some commentators on the Portuguese talk show, Noite das Estrelas, berated Georgina for sitting down while Dolores stood.
One of the commentators Maya said, “What strikes me the most is that while Georgina is sitting with the children, Dolores Aveiro remains standing, far away, it doesn’t look pretty to me, this.”
Daniel Nascimento, another commentator, said, “What I’m saying is that it’s not Georgina who has to get up… It was those boys who had to get up.”
However, Maya replied:
“If Georgina was a diligent daughter-in-law, Dolores would be in her rightful place! (…) It is a lack of respect!”

It was also claimed that Ronaldo’s mother couldn’t spend much time with her grandson on his 13th birthday because Georgina invited many of her friends.
“She barely saw her grandson. They were able to share moments on his birthday. Dolores was with all her grandchildren, but I must be honest: there is not a pretty relationship between them,” Leo Caeiro, a journalist from the Portuguese network CMTV claimed.
