A video has surfaced on social media showing former security guards, Happie Boys, performing at a club in Girne, northern Cyprus.
In the video, the young men, who became internet sensations after being fired from their jobs for dancing on duty, can be seen performing their signature dance moves while donning their modified security uniforms, which have become their work costumes.
The clip quickly went viral on the internet after being shared online, prompting mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.
This development follows the boys’ announcement that they would remain in Cyprus, despite the Nigerian pastor who originally sponsored them for studies, booking their plane tickets to return to Nigeria and continue their studies.
It is worth recalling that after they announced that they had stopped receiving sponsorship from Apostle Chibuzor after the first six months of their arrival in Cyprus, he announced that he had suspended the scholarship due to financial difficulties.
Apostle Chibuzor later forgave them for their call out and offered them a scholarship to any university of their choice in Nigeria or the Republic of Benin. He even went so far as to book plane tickets for their return trip to Nigeria.
However, in a video shared on their Instagram page, the Happie Boys declined his offer to sponsor their trip back to Nigeria, hinting at their decision to remain in Cyprus.
