Popular Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, has opened up about the ongoing feud between his colleagues, AY and Basketmouth.
AY and Basketmouth, who are big names in Nigerian entertainment industry, recently made headlines for their year-long beef after AY revealed it was because of a N30,000 gig.
During an interview with Chude Jideonwo, AY claimed that his problem with Basketmouth began in 2006 after refusing to pay him an agreed sum of N30,000 for standing in for him at an event.
Basketmouth, on the other hand, denied ever being friends with AY and said most of the claims AY made during his interview with Chude Jideonwo were lies.
When asked about the dispute between the two comedians in a recent interview with Naija FM, Julius Agwu said he believes there is more to it than the N30,000.
Speaking about his relationship with Ay, Julius Agwu recalled calling him and asking him to reschedule his annual Easter Sunday comedy show, which also falls on the same day as his.
He claimed AY refused and hung the phone on him.
“There’s more to it, na we dey back stage we no go fit know…I called AY, he cut phone for my neck”. He said in part.
