Veteran Nollywood actor and lawyer, Kanayo O. Kanayo, turns 61 today, March 1, but has announced that he will not be celebrating.

The veteran actor said in a video he shared on his Instagram page on March 1 that he had decided to cancel all birthday celebrations due to the result of the 2023 presidential election.

It is worth recalling that this morning, the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, declared Tinubu, the former governor of Lagos State, the winner of the 2023 presidential election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a total of 8,794,726 votes.

Referring to the election result, Kanayo O. Kanayo, who is a strong supporter of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, accused INEC Chairman of compromising the election results.

He specifically accused INEC of failing to transmit election results electronically through the use of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) through the INEC server, which led to the use of a manual registration system.

He slammed INEC for not transmitting election results electronically through INEC’s server, which uses the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS).

He claimed that he has no intention of celebrating his 61st birthday because the “Heart Of Nigeria Is Bleeding”.

Sharing the video on his Instagram page, he wrote, “I am not celebrating my birthday today because INEC sold SHAME in the market. God bless you, my fans and well-wishers for your support and prayers.”
