Big Brother Naija star, Maria Chike Benjamin, has claimed that she didn’t know her lover, Kelvin, was married when they started dating.
She explained this in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo while discussing the controversy surrounding her relationship with her partner.
Recall that in 2021, the reality TV star and actress was accused of snatching Kelvin from his wife by a Nigerian celebrity, Cubana Chief Priest, who said the victim is her sister.
However, Maria Chike Benjamin didn’t confirm or deny the rumor until July 2022, when she went wild on Twitter to address the rumor “Once And For All.”
She said that she didn’t ruin anyone’s home or snatch anyone’s husband, adding that she chose to keep the rumor a secret for the sake of those involved.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Maria maintained that she didn’t ruin Kelvin’s marriage and that she decided to keep the rumor mill quiet for the good of those involved.
She further revealed that she had no idea he was married when they first met and started dating.
Her words,
“I wasn’t aware whether or not he was married when we first started dating. What I am going to stand by and that’s the gospel truth is that I didn’t destroy any marriage. I have never and I will never.”
