Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has taken to her social media page to lament the struggles associated with the ongoing Ramadan fast.
The actress, who was Christian before marrying her Muslim husband, filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, admitted that getting up early to prepare Sari has been difficult for her.
Note: [Sari is the food eaten early in the morning by Muslims before fasting. It’s usually consumed before dawn]
According to Mercy Aigbe, a mother of two, fasting has been relatively easy, but getting up early in the morning to cook has been a daunting task.
She also posted a photo of herself dozing off in Islamic clothing, revealing that her husband took the photo at her most vulnerable moment. She enjoyed attacking her husband and said they have a score to settle.
The 45-year-old movie star wrote,
“So all of you saying my hubby is calm, he is calm, can y’all see what he did to me this early morning
Waking up for Sari is not easy!!! I am coping very well with fasting but you see that waking up to cook & chop early momo, is a struggle
Sleep just won’t leave me alone! May almighty Allah accept all our sacrifices as an act of ibadah, forgive all our sins, answer all our prayers, continue to bless us and reward us with good deeds
