Mohbad Interview Video

An old interview video of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has surfaced in which he narrates how show promoters refused to select him for shows due to statements made by his former record label, Marlian Music.

It is worth recalling that the “Feel Good” singer officially ended his contract with his former record label, headed by controversial singer, Naira Marley in 2022. The label announced his exit on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Subsequently, Mohbad’s legal team released an official statement clarifying that he had left the label in 2019 due to his boss’s constant attacks and unpaid royalties.

After his sudden death on Tuesday, September 12th, internet users discovered an old interview video of the singer revealing that he had not been invited to concerts because of his former label’s comments about him.

According to him, his old label told show promoters that he was not mentally stable enough to perform at shows, so they didn’t call him.

He said he found this out when the organizers of a show, One Africa Fest, contacted him personally to confirm his mental health status after Marlian Music informed them he was unwell.
