A video showing the touching moment the Nollywood actor’s son, Murphy Afolabi, bursts into tears and asks the late actor’s forgiveness at his funeral has been shared online.
The 49-year-old Nollywood actor, who died on Sunday, May 14, was buried in Ikorodu, Lagos state, on Monday evening.
Through tears, he revealed that Murphy Afolabi had done so much for him as a father before he died.
He recounted how, days before the incident, he unexpectedly received the sum of N150,000 from the actor and how Murphy Afolabi even requested a meeting with his wife and daughter, which he had never requested before.
He added that he had insulted his father before his death and asked his forgiveness.

In other news, veteran Nigerian filmmaker and journalist, Zik Zulu Okafor, has opened up about how actor Saint Obi’s marriage distanced him from his friends and his acting career.
Zik Zulu Okafor, a close friend of the actor who sadly died on Saturday, May 13th, after a long illness, detailed the tragic events leading up to Saint Obi’s death in a post.
According to Okafor, Saint Obi’s marriage to a financially successful woman significantly changed the course of his life.
He revealed that the woman was a senior executive at a telecom company and her siblings had always thought of Saint Obi as a “Gold Digger.”
He said that Saint Obi was constantly molested by his wife’s siblings, which eventually led to the dissolution of their marriage.
