Nigerian singer Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi, has revealed why he decided to leave the house of his record label boss, Davido.
The 34-year-old musician, who previously lived under Davido’s roof, revealed this during his recent “Zero Conditions” podcast appearance.
He explained that he decided to leave and started looking for an apartment when Chioma, Davido’s fiancée and now wife, became pregnant with their first child, Ifeanyi, who unfortunately died a year ago.
Peruzzi revealed that he accelerated his plans to find an apartment as Chioma neared her due date and thought about moving into Davido’s house.
The “Majesty” singer mentioned that he did not inform Davido about his decision to leave the house and only disclosed it to his late colleague, Obama DMW.
He, however, stressed that his departure did not cause any conflict between him and Davido. His new house was conveniently close to the DMW boss’s house and he sometimes spent the night at his house.
“When Chioma got pregnant I had to move out. When Ifeanyi was about to be born. When I was looking for the place I didn’t tell Davido. But they called me and said Chioma is coming”, Peruzzi said in part.
