Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has claimed that his daughter-in-law, May, has been receiving negative advice to end her marriage to his son, Yul.
The film legend said so in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.
This follows reports that May has filed for divorce and a restraining order against her husband, preventing him from entering their former marital home.
In the interview, the 76-year-old actor praised May and expressed his deep love and affection for her, and said he was close to her father.
He also revealed that she is a very smart woman and not many people know that she is a computer wizard. He also praised her for the success of her marriage to his son.
However, he said that she has been receiving negative advice from people encouraging her to divorce her husband, especially from women with broken homes.
Sir Pete said in part,
“We just heard Yul suddenly picked a second wife. Mary (May) is a very wonderful woman. The success of that marriage is to Mary’s credit. A lot of people have been advising her wrongly and most of them don’t have good homes.”
