Big Brother Naija star, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has revealed how her relationships with brands have suffered due to social media controversies.
The Big Brother Naija Level Up winner says she has lost a total of 17 ambassadorial contracts due to her constant conflicts with critics and colleagues.
Phyna revealed this information in an interview with her colleague, Doyinsola David, on a recent edition of her podcast, Doyin’s Corner.
She said that a certain company refused to work with her because the public had a bad impression of her, that is, people thought she was offensive.
The company’s stance follows reports that Phyna slapped her ex-boyfriend, Groovy for allegedly pushing through a deal meant for her behind her back.
Phyna said that most of the negative reports from bloggers contributed to the deterioration of her image.
She said:
“Two weeks ago, my manager and I did a calculation of how many deals I lost last year till now. We counted 17 deals.
I am aware of a big brand that told me their reason for not working with me is because I am an abuser. They said they can’t work with an abuser, and this was coming during that period that bloggers said I slapped someone.”
