Controversial Big Brother Naija star, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has claimed that polygamy is only for rich men and not for broke men.
She made this statement on a recent episode of her podcast, “Spill with Phyna” while discussing the topic with her co-star, Tacha.
She supported her argument with examples, claiming that if Yul had been very wealthy, Yul’s decision to marry his second wife, Judy Austin, would have been more acceptable to his first wife, May.
According to her, money plays an important role in the success of polygamous marriages, citing the example of billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko, who has six wives, including a popular actress Regina Daniels.
Phyna compared Ned’s situation to Yul’s and opined that May would have been more accepting of her husband’s decision to take a second wife if he had been a wealthy person.
