“I Did Not Know The People Who Came To My Bar Were Police Officers” – Portable Speaks After His Arrest (Video)

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, after he refused to accept the police offer.

After the expiration of the 72-hour deadline granted to him by the Ogun State Police Command, the Zazu singer was taken into custody on Friday, March 31st.

Remember that on March 28th, videos of Portable attempting to evade capture and verbally abusing police officers went viral on social media.

The police then gave him a 72-hour ultimatum to report to the nearest police station or risk being arrested by Friday.

Commenting on the development, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed that the singer had been arrested and is currently at the State Police offices in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Mr. Abimbola Oyeyemi further stated that Portable was detained after turning down five offers.

Additionally, It has also been revealed that the singer will remain in the custody by the authorities until Monday, April 3rd when he faces legal action.

When questioned in police custody, the singer claimed he was unaware that the people who came to his bar to arrest him were police officers.
