Veteran Nollywood actor, Obinna Nwafor, popularly known by his stage name as Saint Obi, has tragically passed away.
According to reports circulating around the internet, Saint Obi passed away on Monday, May 7th, 2023. The veteran actor is believed to have died after spending several months traveling to the hospital to be treated for an unspecified illness.
A source who spoke to blogger, Moji Delano revealed that the actor, whom he had seen several times and recognized as Saint Obi, died on Sunday and his body was taken to JUTH’s morgue the next day. This was followed by a visit to his sister’s residence in Jos.
Saint Obi is said to have recently moved into his sister’s house in Jos, the capital of Plateau state, and was often spotted being taken to the hospital. The fact that Mr. Obi was frequently spotted in the hospital was also confirmed by a source at JUTH.
