Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosoko, better known by her stage name, Simi, has responded to those who have criticized her accent.

In a video she posted on the internet, the mother-of-one revealed that she has been repeatedly taunted by trolls who accused her of faking her accent.

In response to her critics, Simi made it clear that she has no reason to fake her accent as she doesn’t care about the opinions of others about the way she speaks.

“Let me tell you something that gets on my nerves; when some motherf*ckers come on here saying I’m forming ascent. Do I really seem like the kind of person that will care about how anybody feels about how I talk? like I sit down and I plan, this is how we are going to use this ascent today? I don’t give a f*ck. Do I sound like I’m struggling when I’m talking?” She said.

Simi also added that she finds the innuendo amusing and advised those who don’t like her accent to stay away from her social media pages.
