A Nigerian skincare specialist has received 2.5 million naira from her boyfriend for saying ‘YES’ to his marriage proposal.
The lady, who is known as @swiss_scarlet on Instagram, shared a video of the surprise proposal on her page, which drew massive reactions from her followers.
In the video, the waiters brought a dessert plate that read “Will you marry me?” written in bold on it, next to a piece of cake and the engagement ring.
She was indifferent to the covered plate at first, but her boyfriend insisted she opens the plate and her reaction after seeing the question was priceless.
The excited “bride-to-be” accepted his proposal without much thought, unaware that her boyfriend had other plans for her.
While she was still admiring her ring, the waiters brought an envelope containing 2.5 million naira and presented it to her.
According to her boyfriend, the money is her reward for sticking by his side when he had nothing and for saying YES to his proposal.
