A 15-year-old boy has broken a Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Record after he scored 99 in mathematics and 337 overall.
Lotanna Azuokeke, a 15-year-old student at Bishop Otubelu Juniorate in Enugu, has been hailed on social media for scoring 99 marks in mathematics in the recently completed Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Lotanna, a native of Ọba in Idemmili South Local Government Area LGA of Anambra State, broke a record with his brilliant performance in mathematics.
This was announced in a statement by the spokesman of the Bishop of the Diocese of Nike (Anglican Communion), who founded the school, Dr. Chiwuike Uba.
According to Uba, Lotanna also scored 88 marks in Chemistry, 86 in Physics, and 64 in English, bringing the total score to 337.
“Azụokeke broke the record that was set by Chidera Obi who scored 329 marks to emerge overall best, five years ago”, he added.
Uba further announced that the young champ had applied to study Electrical Engineering/Electronics at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).
