A 22-year-old Nigerian lady, Nkem Vivian, has responded after being criticized on social media over her decision to marry her older white lover.
Nkem Vivian married her German lover earlier this year and often shares photos of them together on social media. However, her posts have drawn negative comments from some internet users due to their age difference.
Finally, in a post she shared on her Instagram page on Friday, May 12, Nkem responded to her criticism, saying that she prefers happiness to people’s opinions.
“I can’t marry an old man because of what people will say. I choose happiness over everything,” she wrote.
When a troll asked her if she “can’t see that he looks like her father-in-law?” she responded by sharing a video of herself covering her eyes with foreign currency notes.
“How can I see for crying out loud?”, she captioned the video.
