A 29-year-old Nigerian lawyer, identified simply as Naomi Stanley Mshelia, has been buried amid tears in Abuja today, April 27th.
Naomi Stanley Mshelia was reportedly killed by kidnappers, but details of her death are still unclear at the time of filling this report.
A pastor named Yakubu Musa, who is believed to be a friend or family of the deceased, took to Facebook to reveal that she was her parents’ only child as he mourned her sad death.
“Oh Barrister Naomi, your death is one of the painful ones, so sudden and shocking. Continue to rest in peace. As the only child of your parents, I know it’s only God that can comfort them and the family. Those kidnappers will never know peace,” he wrote.
A service of songs was held at the Family Worship Center in Wuye, Abuja on Wednesday, April 28th, and her funeral was held today.

In other news, a 25-year-old woman, identified simply as Mirabel Ladi Agada Abraham, was brutally killed by one or more unknown assailants in Abuja.
Mirabel Ladi Agada Abraham was reported missing on Facebook by a certain Abdullahi Haruna when she failed to return home after leaving her place of work in Gwarimpa on Friday, April 7th.
According to him, they launched a search for her but did not find her for days until she was found dead along Gwarimpa Road a week later. She was allegedly stabbed by an as-yet unidentified assailant and her body mutilated. (Continue reading here)
