A Nigerian chef who is currently attempting to break Hilda Baci’s record for the longest individual cooking marathon has drawn mixed reactions online after she allegedly turned off the gas while cooking.

Adeyeye Adeola who is from Ondo State, started the cooking marathon a few days ago and plans to cook continuously for 150 hours. The Cook-a-thon is currently being held at the TMF Lounge and Bar in Ile Oluji, Ondo State, Nigeria.

However, a video that recently surfaced on social media suggests that the Ondo Chef turned off the gas burner and leisurely ate one of the dishes she prepared.

This apparently contradicts one of the Guinness World Records rules for the cooking competition, which states that the competitor must not turn off the gas burner during the marathon.

This has triggered mixed reactions on the internet. Read some of the comments as you scroll.
