Ibadan Chef, Temitope Adebayo Announces Plan To Undertake 140 Hours Cook-A-Thon

Ibadan-based chef, Temitope Adebayo, has declared his intention to compete in a 140-hour cook-a-thon in an attempt to break the world record for the longest cooking session.

The chef has announced his ambitions to go head-to-head with both Chef Dammy, who is attempting to complete a 120-hour cook-a-thon, and Chef Hilda Baci, who recently completed a 100-hour cook-a-thon.

The chef also provided pictures of his Guinness World Records registration and the email he had received as confirmation.

According to the photos, his 140-hour cook-a-thon was scheduled to take place on November 1, 2023, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

This is coming after popular Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, had slammed Ekiti Chef, Damilola Adeparusi, over her quest to surpass Hilda Baci’s 100 Hour Cooking Achievement.

The young Ekiti State Chef has started a 120-hour cooking marathon in an attempt to break Hilda Baci’s record for the longest individual cooking time. However, Hilda Baci’s achievement has yet to be confirmed by Guinness World Records.

At the time 9JaGistreel.com is filing this report, Damilola Adeparusi, who started the cooking challenge in the early hours of Friday, May 9th, had already been cooking for 31 hours in Oye, Ekiti State, and counting.

However, the attempt has drawn mixed reactions, with the majority slamming her for trying to break a record that hasn’t been confirmed.

Popular Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, has also joined social media users in berating the Ekiti Chef, saying that she should have allowed Hilda to enjoy her victory for at least a while before attempting to break it. (Continue reading)
