The veteran Nollywood actress, who has been in the entertainment industry for many years, recently opened up about her struggles with not having a car and relying on public transportation.
Keep in mind that Iya Gbonkan made a heartfelt appeal to well-meaning Nigerians and expressed her desire for her admirers to honor her now rather than wait for her death.
Despite her successful acting career, she has been open about her daily routine of boarding buses to get where she needed to go. Nigerians have banded together to support Iya Gbonkan after being touched by her story.
According to a recent update, Pastor Gabriel personally visited the veteran actress in Osogbo after learning about the viral video and contacted her.
Full of compassion, he immediately took action to raise funds from kind people around the world to fulfill her dream of owning a car and over 5 million naira has been donated in support of her cause.
Fellow Nollywood stars, Abeni Agbon and Tamotiye also showed their support and received 500,000 naira donations from Nigerians.
