Popular Nollywood actress, Margaret Bandele Olayinka, better known as Iya Gbonkan, has gotten a brand new car gift from a fan.
This is coming just days after the veteran actress took to social media to lament not owning a car despite spending more than a decade in the Nigerian film industry.
In the video, she revealed that despite her age and experience, she still relies on getting from one place to another on foot and by public transport.
Iya Gbonkan urged Nigerians, especially her fans, to honor her with a car while she is alive, rather than waiting to celebrate her or make grand gestures for her when she dies.
Luckily, the veteran Nollywood actress’s call didn’t go unanswered and she has now received a new car as a gift from her loyal fan.
A video posted on respective social media platforms captured the heartwarming moment when the veteran actress received the car keys. Overjoyed, she poses with her new car and thanks the fan for the friendly gesture.
Meanwhile, following Iya Gbonkan’s appeal, her fans have already donated N5 million to buy a car and support a housing project for her.
Pastor Gabriel personally visited the Nollywood actress in Osogbo after learning about the viral video and contacting her.
Full of compassion, he immediately took action to collect donations from kind people around the world to fulfill her dream of owning a car and over N5 million has been donated in support of her cause.
