Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo, has responded to a fan who recreated her expensive look at the recently concluded Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Keep in mind that many Nigerian celebrities attended the ninth edition of the awards ceremony on Saturday, May 20th, dressed in royal and glamorous outfits.
Iyabo Ojo was one of the celebrities who graced the black carpet at Eko Hotel & Suites and she didn’t disappoint with her dress. She wore a striking black dress with red and orange feathers that gave the impression of flames.
After the event, a content creator who recreates celebrity outfits in a fun and affordable way, recreated Iyabo Ojo’s outfit, hair, and makeup to create a satirical look.
Upon seeing the video, the movie star had mixed feelings about the man’s portrayal of her attire and threatened to sue him. However, it’s unclear if she was serious or joking.
She also disclosed the incredible amount she paid for the dress, designed by famed designer, Toyin Lawani, better known as Tiannah Empire, revealing that it costs $50,000 (37.5 million naira).
The 45-year-old Nollywood actress reposted the video on her official Instagram page and wrote:
“Please, I need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers number, I need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000
