Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late sensational Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, associated with the name Mohbad, has told a coroner’s court sitting in Lagos that he does not trust the wife of his son, Wunmi.

According to The Nation, Mr. Joseph Aloba said so on Wednesday, October 25th, during the Coroner’s Inquiry into the Death of his son.

Mr. Joseph Aloba told the coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son had lived together for 18 years and that his son, at the legal age, left home to live with his former record label boss, Naira Marley, where he helped him to “Pursue his music career”. Mr Aloba further said that he did not know the exact house his son lived in with his former boss.

Furthermore, he mentioned that his son’s landed properties were in the care of his mother-in-law, as his son had informed him about his properties held by his wife and her family.

In addition, he accused the wife of occasionally putting sleeping pills in his son’s food to buy time to sleep with his son’s work colleague at Marley’s house.

In his words,

“I shared 18 years together with my son, and he had no record of any terminal disease. I only took him to a chemist when he was 16 for treatment of rashes. I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another signee in the same house. Mobhad made efforts to reconcile me with his mother.”

He also told the coroner that his late son gave him a car after he reconciled with his mother.
