Popular Nollywood actor, Murphy Afolabi’s daughter, Fathia Ayomide Afolabi, has taken to social media to mourn his death.
The popular actor died on Sunday, May 14th, 2023, from injuries he sustained when he fell in the bathroom of his home in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and will be buried on Monday evening May 15.
To pay tribute to her late father, Fathia Ayomide Afolabi shared a video collage on TikTok of some of their good times together.
Sharing the video, the grieving daughter commented that her father’s death still feels unreal and wished he would wake up.
“I Still Can’t Believe It, Daddy Please Wake Up. This Is Too Much For Me, Daddy,” She Wrote.

In other news, the Nollywood film Industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of another popular actor, Chikezie Uwazie, in the United States.
The veteran actor was one of the top actors in the Nigerian film industry in the 2000s before moving to the United States of America seven years ago.
One of his colleagues, Obey Etok Chima, who confirmed the devastating news, said he died after undergoing a second brain operation.
