Nigeria’s Tallest Man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji Dies Of Gigantism

Nigeria’s tallest man, Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, has reportedly died at the age of forty-eight (48) after suffering a prolonged illness.

Afeez Agoro Oladimeji, who was 2.24m (7 ft 4 in) tall, was the second tallest person in West Africa before he tragically died on Wednesday evening, June 14th, after a long battle with acromegaly, commonly called gigantism.

He was reportedly bedridden for months because of chronic hip arthritis and suffered serious complications last night.

The UNILAG graduate, who studied Computer Science, was taken to Lagos University Teaching Hospital for urgent treatment, but unfortunately, he died around 7.30 pm.

This is coming after the Nigerian film industry was thrown into mourning following the sudden death of one of its actors, Don Brymo Uchegbu.

According to reports trending on social media, the veteran Nollywood actor passed away peacefully in his sleep last night at the age of 56.

Actor-Mayor Ofoegbu confirmed the news trending on social media in a post published on his Facebook page on Thursday morning, June 15th.

Sharing a photo of the deceased, Ofoegbu wrote,

“Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed. I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed away in his sleep.
