“We Won The Presidential Election And We’ll Prove It” – Peter Obi Declares (Watch)

The Labour Party Presidential flagbearer, Peter Obi, has said that his party won the election and he will examine all legal and peaceful means to prove it.

Peter Obi said this during his first press conference since the conclusion of the presidential election on Saturday, February 25th.

According to him, he was robbed of his mandate, which he can only regain in court. He also encouraged Nigerians to turn out en masse to vote in the gubernatorial election on Saturday, March 11th.

In his words,

“We’ll explore all legal options to retrieve our mandate. We won the election. I’m fully committed to a better future for the country and nothing can stop that. For the election on Saturday go out there and vote. I’ll be part of it, I assure you.”

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the winner of this year’s presidential election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Responding to the presidential election results announced this morning by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmoud Yakubu, President Buhari said: “I congratulate His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory. Elected by the people, he is the best person for the job. I shall now work with him and his team to ensure an orderly handover of power.”

“The election was Africa’s largest democratic exercise. In a region that has undergone backsliding and military coups in recent years, this election demonstrates democracy’s continued relevance and capability to deliver for the people it serves.
