Popular Nollywood actress Ruby Orjiakor has been heavily criticized on social media for her recent display of generosity at an event.
The actress, who is known for her philanthropic gestures and shares videos of herself handing out groceries to the less privileged, attended her friend’s traditional wedding this weekend and decided to give back as usual.
This time, however, she took to the streets to throw naira notes on the ground while children followed her and rushed to pick them up.
In a video shared online, Ruby Orjiakor can be seen walking gallantly as she tosses money to the kids while repeatedly saying “The Time Has Come”.
She kept going until she got to the wedding venue and started spraying money on her friend and her groom.
The movie star captioned it,
“Watch how I stopped my friend’s “Traditional Marriage” yesterday.

The video drew mixed reactions on social media, with the majority expressing disappointment in her for throwing money at the children instead of giving it to them in an orderly manner.
According to the critics, instead of treating them like beggars, she should have assembled the children and given them the money.
However, others felt that there was nothing wrong with her action and that the children obviously enjoyed picking the money.
