Nigerian singer, Iyanya, has responded to allegations that his ex-lover, Yvonne Nelson, is responsible for the decline in his career over the past decade.
Keep in mind that Iyanya caused a stir in the entertainment industry in 2012 and 2013 with the release of his hit songs “Your Waist” and “Kukere”, but his career took a downturn afterward.
After Yvonne Nelson accused him of cheating on her with actress Tonto Dikeh during their brief past relationship, a Twitter user claimed the Ghanaian actress placed a curse on Iyanya because of his infidelity.
According to the tweep, Iyanya’s career took a nosedive over the years because Yvonne cursed him for being unfaithful not only with Tonto Dikeh but with other women as well.
Taking to the comments section of a post about her recently released memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”, the tweep wrote, “Yes you are not, you are a Mami water that cursed @Iyanya for 10yrs because of Prick! Things really fell apart for him…Thank you for releasing him..”
This statement caught the Nigeria singer’s attention, and he simply commented, “Them no born am well to fit curse me
