Tragic news has surfaced about the billionaires who each paid a princely sum of $250,000 to visit the wreck of the Titanic ship with a submersible.

It has been reported that the Titanic-bound submarine that disappeared on Sunday with five people on board suffered a catastrophic implosion, killing everyone on board.

US Coast Guard Rear Admiral, John Mauger, confirmed the tragic news on Thursday, June 22nd. He revealed that the stern cone and various debris matching the characteristics of the missing Titan submersible were found about 1,600 feet away from the Titanic’s bow.

“There is an incredibly unforgiving environment down there on the sea floor and the debris is consistent with a catastrophic implosion of the vessel,” Mauger told reporters.

He added that the families of the deceased were notified immediately, adding that, “He can only imagine what this has been like for them and he hopes that this discovery provides some solace during this difficult time.”

Information about the missing ship has recently surfaced on social media and has caused a lot of controversy on the internet.

The submersible Titan began its descent on Sunday, June 18th, to explore the ruins of the Titanic, about 13,000 feet below sea level in the North Atlantic Ocean, with an estimated 96 hours of life support.

The expedition was touted as “a chance to get away from it all and discover something truly extraordinary,” and each participant paid a whopping sum of $250,000 to take part in the adventure.

Unfortunately, the overcrowded vessel lost contact with its mother ship about an hour and 45 minutes into the dive and did not surface again.

Aboard the Titan submersible were Rush, the CEO and founder of OceanGate; Harding, a British businessman; Shahzada Dawood, a Pakistani billionaire, and his son, Suleman Dawood; and Nargeolet, a French diver, according to their relatives and social media posts. However, officials have not yet released the names of those who were on the vessel.

May their souls rest in peace!
