Iyabo Ojo Relationship With MC Oluomo

Popular Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has clarified some conjectures regarding her relationship with Lagos State’s famous Agbero, Musiliu Akisanya, commonly known as MC Oluomo.

The pair were warm friends who showed up for each other when needed before politics drove a wedge into their friendship.

It all started when Iyabo Ojo declared MC Oluomo’s candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu unfit for the presidency and supported his opponent, Peter Obi.

This caused bad blood between the duo, and some of her colleagues called her out for betraying MC Oluomo, accusing her of being ungrateful.

After Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s win, the NURTW chairman went live on his Instagram page to throw shade at those who turned their backs on him when he needed them.

He said that when such people need a favor from him, they do not hesitate to call him and he would be happy to help them.

Though he didn’t mention names, Iyabo Ojo felt the shade was cast on her and she held an Instagram Live session to address the animosity between them.

She acknowledged that MC Oluomo had helped her in the past but stated that it is not enough reason for her to support his candidate.

According to her, If she had known he was trying to buy her loyalty with money, she would not have accepted his help.

She also set the record straight about her fellow actress, Lege Miami’s claim that MC Oluomo gave her N2 million.

She said he did in fact offer her 3 million naira but clarified it was for her mother’s funeral. She also asked how Lege knew about it if MC Oluomo didn’t release the information to the world.

About the nature of her relationship with him, Iyabo Ojo said that she was never his girlfriend, and neither did she accept his advances.

In her words,

“There is no fight, there is no war, it’s all peace and love. It baffles me why people feel they have the right to you because they have done one or two things for you before. So you must support them. I am not from that school of thought. There is something I detest and that is trying to take control of someone’s life because you have done them a favor.

I woke up this morning to a video that MC Oluomo did. MC I really love you, you are a nice person, I see you as my friend. I was never your girlfriend, I never said yes it you. If I invite you to my party it’s because I regard you. I have always supported you because I see you as a good person. But in this case, I chose not to because I don’t believe in your candidate. That shouldn’t make us fight. The 3 million you gave me was to support my mother’s burial”.
